| Nothing too adventurous here. Finally got the courage to ride the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel #navypier #ferriswheel #chicago |
You will seldom see me walking around theme parks and getting in line for rides. I am never fond of being thrown around.
Growing up, our mother brings us to the fair once a year and I only did the horror train. It was not like I enjoyed it but it was just a short ride with few turns. I remembered keeping my eyes closed all the time and screaming. I did ride a ferris wheel then. I was like a capsule and we were stuck up in the air for what it felt like the longest time for me. I am sure I was not crying crazy with that experience but I knew right away that I will never do it again.

Well, traveling puts me in crazy heights and tight spaces like cable cars. All the time I managed to contain my crazy thoughts and I guess it is because my husband teased me and hold my hand.
So after many years of being here in Chicago, I asked him to join me take a challenge and take on Navy Pier Ferris Wheel.
Totally scared but I can do it again. We rode it around early evening to avoid long lines and to enjoy the night skyline of Chicago. It was cold but thankfully not a windy day. It was just a one revolution ride so it was perfect for me.
Little fun fact of history: the first ferris wheel was made in Chicago last 1893 but the original was destroyed in 1906
