Have you been to Victoria's Peak?

You cannot say you have been to Hong Kong if you have missed Victoria's Peak. Getting in line for the tram ride to and from Victoria's Peak can be challenging but if you take it a night, it is all worth that time.

Its an uphill ride with excellent view of the famous harbor. Take seats on the right side on your way up. Best kept secret.

There are plenty of things to see and do when you get there. Get up high to the Peak Tower with an entrance fee or try the fee Victoria Peak Observation deck atop the shopping mall opposite the Peak Tower Building. Visit the wax museum inside the Peak Tower. Have a chinese meal, gelato ice cream, or coffee. With plenty of shops, you can enjoy the Peak for a good half day.

If the line discourages you, you can a bus number 15 or take a taxi. Its a shorter line except on weekends and holidays. Locals love to see the Peak. It is a favorite spot for young lovers.

Or if you are like me trying to be fit, there is a steep walk path from Zoological Botanical Gardens to the Peak. I did the walk down instead. We took bus 15 around 830am and started to walk Findlay Path. Take left turn at Plantation Road and follow until to merge at Old Peak Road. Since it is a downhill walk, lean a little backwards and bend your knees. Take sure steps and don't shuffle. Run at your own risks.
